NIIMBOT D110 mini label maker review

The NIIMBOT D110 is a palm-sized Bluetooth label printer with a built-in battery. It recognises the roll you load and offers clear labels as well as coloured and patterned ones, which is why it fills so many pantry and classroom wish lists.

Small printer, lots of label styles

Roll recognition removes the most common app-printer mistake: printing a layout for the wrong label size.

The range of rolls is the fun part: clear labels for glass jars, patterned ones for gifts, coloured ones for colour-coding a classroom.

It runs on a built-in rechargeable battery, so there are no batteries to buy.

A shelf of glass jars, worked out

Fifty clear jar labels at 3 to 6 cents each come to about $1.50 to $3 in rolls. The printer charges over USB, so there is nothing else to buy.

Who buys one

  • Pantry organisers who want clear labels on glass jars.
  • Teachers and parents who like patterned and coloured labels.
  • People who want a pocket printer with no batteries to buy.
